Fences - they separate, protect and design. But can they also be sexy? Lumos took up this challenge when Zaun-Idee asked us to visualize their double wire mesh fence. The result? A real eye-catcher that has cemented Zaun-Idee as a premium supplier and given sales a real boost.
Zaun-Idee wanted to take the configurator to the next level to give its customers an even better impression of how the products work. Our task: To create highly realistic renderings of the product. From the initial sketches to the final images, we worked closely with the Zaun-Idee team to get every detail perfect.
Implementation
Using our all-time favorite tool, Cinema 4D, we precisely modeled each fence element to accurately replicate the real-world proportions and structures. Realistic textures and materials are key. Our advanced texturing techniques capture every nuance and make the fences eye-catching. HDR lighting techniques simulate natural lighting conditions. Whether it's sunrise or dusk, our fences always look good. We used Redshift to create high-resolution, detailed images. Realistic shadows and reflections bring the renderings to life, making them look as real as can be and at the same time more polished and shiny than photos could ever be.
The resulting configurator (for which we were ultimately allowed to give the UX a proper makeover - as we did for the entire store) is a real highlight. Customers can select designs and colors, customize dimensions and choose materials and textures. The configurator has simplified the sales process and increased customer satisfaction. Where others only offer rough sketches, our configurator shows exactly what the fence will look like.
The start of a fantastic partnership
That was just the beginning! Right after the first round of renderings sparked nothing but enthusiasm, we continued and visualized the entire product catalog. In addition to the static renderings, we also created dynamic product animations created. These explain assembly processes and are a hit with customers, because processes that previously had to be learned in shirtless DIY YouTube videos are now easily digestible and clearly structured.
We were then able to create various documents based on the renderings. Assembly instructions, product data sheets and sales documents all set new standards in the industry and strengthen the professional appearance, which ensures a high level of trust and creates real added value for the end customer.
